We use the superlative when we want to say the highest degree of something.
You are the tallest student in our class. Mount Ağrı is the highest mountain in Turkey. Atatürk is the greatest leader of all time. This is the most difficult question of all.
You don't need to use a phrase after a superlative if the reference is clear.
Sally is the tallest. This dress is the most expensive. It was the hottest day.
You can also make questions and negative sentences with superlatives.
You are the happiest girl in our class . You aren't the happiest girl in our class.
