| a / an in singular countable nouns We use the indefinite article a / an with singular countable nouns.
|  There is a carrot. There is a strawberry on the floor. We have an eggplant in the fridge. |
| plural countable nouns We don't use a / an articles in front of a plural noun. We usually add "s" at the end of the noun.
|  There are three carrots. We have two strawberries in the fridge. There are four eggplants on the table  |
| Uncountable nouns We can't make them plural. We don't use a / an and numbers in front them. [ but there are some exeptions. ] We can use "a _____ of ___"
|  There is a lot of lettuce in the salad.  I usually drink apple juice. I love pudding. There is a lot of cheese on the plate. We like eating jam. Honey is very healthy. |
